Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist

A leading international media company based in Dublin city centre is seeking a professional individual with proven accounts receivable experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Performing credit checks on new customers
  • Emailing invoices to debtors ahead of their due dates
  • Communicating regularly by phone and email with debtors
  • Liaising with operations team in Australia, contracts manager in Dublin and sales team in London and Dublin, in relation to contracts and material delivery
  • Advising Group Financial Controller on a timely basis of any potential bad debts and proposed actions
  • Accurate entry of receipts and bank charges
  • Preparation of weekly receipts, cash flow forecast and aging report
  • Preparation of audit work files and debtor confirmations as requested by the external auditors

Key requirements of the accounts receivable specialist:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Experience working in a multi-currency environment and dealing with international clients
  • Exposure to the general ledger would be a distinct advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Good understanding of Excel, MS Office and other financial packages
